PROPYLENE OXIDATION INTO ACETIC ACID OVER MOLYBDENUM–VANADIUM OXIDE CATALYSTS
Reaction of propylene oxidation has been studied on a number of binary Mo–V–O catalysts. It was shown that the reaction products of propylene oxidation over studied catalysts are acetic acid, carbon dioxide and in a small amounts of acetaldehyde and acetone. It is found that a high activity and selectivity to acetic acid showing samples with a high content of vanadium oxide.
