THE ADVANCED TECHNOLOGY FOR PRODUCING KETONES
N.T.Aliyeva, T.M.Aboul-Fotouh, E.A.Guseynova, K.Yu.Adjamov

In the operating conditions of the enlarged laboratory plant, the approval of a new technology has been carried out for producing saturated ketones. The process involves the gas-phase dehydrogenation of isopropyl and secondary butyl alcohols in the presence of nickel kieselguhr catalyst that is traditionally used in the hydrogenation of vegetable oils and animal fats. Basing on the tests of the experimental work there has been developed fundamentally  new technological scheme which compared permits to provide higher yield of acetone and methyl ethyl ketone, to cut down energy consumption reagent concentration and the simplified technology (one-stage, moderate temperature rate, absence of by-products)

Keywords : gas-phase of dehydrogenation, acetone, methyl ethyl ketone, nickel kieselguhr catalyst, new technology
