Ni-containing catalysts based on immobilized poly-4-vinylpyridine were prepared. Samples of catalysts with 2, 5, 10 wt.% Ni(II) were tested in the process of n-hexane oxidation. The studies were carried out in the temperature range 313 - 383 K, hexane: oxygen molar ratio = 1:3.38 and atmospheric pressure. The identification of products from the oxyfunctionalization of n -hexane was analyzed by chromatographic analysis (Agilent 7890B). The results of using Ni-containing catalysts on the immobilized polymer poly-4-vinylpyridine were compared with our previous results using manganese-containing catalysts. It has been established that the selectivity and activity of the nickel catalyst for the oxidation of n-hexane is somewhat lower than that of the manganese catalyst immobilized on poly-4-vinylpyridine. The nature of chemical bonds, structure and elemental composition of the samples were determined using the methods of Fourier transform infrared (IR) spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray phase analysis (D2-Phaser “Bruker” diffractometer)
