In the results on synthesis and research of diamine-containing alkylphenolate additives representing calcium salt products condensation of dodecylphenol with formaldehyde and ethylenediamine (or hexamethylenediamine) – AKI-1 and AKI-4 additives respectively are cited. It is shown that the increase in carbohydrogen groups extending the distance between nitrogen atoms in alkylphenolate additives leads to weakening of functional properties of additives. Carbonate variant of AKI-1 additive and AKI-5 additive has also been obtained. By applying AKI-5 additive motor oil M-8B has been developed that meets the requirements of standards.
