LIQUID-LIQUID EXTRACTION OF THE CHROMOGENIC SYSTEMS CONTAINING NIOBIUM(V), 2-HYDROXYTHIOPHENOL AND HYDROPHOBIC AMINES

The complex formation and liquid-liquid extraction in the niobium(V)–hydroxy­thiophenol–hydrophobic amine–water–organic solvent system was studied.  The hydrophobic amines were aniline, aminopyridine, dipyridyl. The optimum conditions for the extraction of mixed ligand complexes (organic solvent, extraction time, acidity of the aqueous phase, concentration of reagents), some key constants {association constant (β), extraction constant (Kex), equlibrium constant (Keq), extent polymerization (γ)} and analytical characteristics were determined.
