KINETICS OF SORPTION OF Ca2+ AND Mg2+ IONS IN CLINOPTILOLITE MODIFIED BY Na+ IONS

Study of kinetic curves of sorption of Ca2+ and Mg2+ ions in Na-clinoptilolite shows that for both of ions-exchange reaction occurs in mixed diffusion area. In the first stage sorption process goes on by external diffusion mechanism with a majority of ions, but in the second stage the process of sorption proceeds by internal diffusion mechanism.
