For creation of highly efficient plastic lubricants unsoluble in petroleum and gas of as disperse media the following vegetable oils were used: castor oil, soapstok, colophony, oxidized and iodizated cotton oil. The oxidized cotton oil was prepared by oxidizing it by hydrogen peroxide in the presence of oxygen. It was established that the acidity of oxidized cotton oil do not increase. With the increase in quantity of hydrogen peroxide till 20% the viscosity of oil increases and with a further increase of this index changes what testifies to full entering hydrogen peroxide into reaction with formation of glycols a little. IR-Spektrum of oxidized cotton oil has shown the presence hydroxyl group. The influence of quantity of oxidized and iodizated cotton oil on dropping point of lubricant was investigated. So, concentration of oxidized and iodizated cotton oil in 20% may be considered optimal. It is found out that with the increase in quantity of oxidized cotton oil till 20%, dropping temperature of the lubricants increases, bat then changes not enough.
