As a result of interaction between the sodium salt of N,N-dimetilditiocarbamin acid with 1-chlorine-1- propanol, 1-(N,N-dimetilocarbamoil)-2-propanol was synthesized. By condensation of the last one with aromatic isocyanates and isothiocyanates carbamates and thiocarbamates have been synthesized, and the phy­sico-chemical and antimicrobial properties of the synthesized compounds were investigated.
