By the interaction of 1-bromo-2-decanol with m-bromophenol in alkaline condition,1-(m-bromphenoxi)-2-decanol was synthesized, as a result of condensation of the latter with a-chloro-methyl-ethyl, acetyl chloride, aromatic isocyanate and with isothiocyanate, simple and complex esters, carbamates and thiocarbamates were synthesized. The physico-chemical and antimicrobial properties of the synthesized compounds were investigated.
