SYNTHESIS AND STUDY OF ALIPHATIC ESTERS OF α-NAPHTHYLACETIC ACID IN THE PRESENCE OF CATALYST nano-TiO2
The synthesis of a-naphthylacetic acids and aliphatic alcohol esters has been carried out. The optimal yield (80%) of the end products has been obtained in the presence of nano-TiO2 PC-500 at mole ratio of the acid to alcohol =
1:1.2, in the temperature range 80–900C and reaction time 5–6 hours. Physico-chemical indices of the synthesized esters have been determined. The usage of the heterogeneous catalyst nano-TiO2 allows to remove the intermediate stages of neutralization, washing and drying of raw esters and to increase the yield of esters of naphthylacetic acid and monoatomic alcohols yield by 10% in comparison with that of the industrial TiO2.
