SYNTHESIS AND KINETIC INVESTIGATION OF RADICAL POLYMERIZATION OF (p-VINYLPHENYL)CYCLOPROPYL METHYLCINNAMATE

New polyfucntional monomer of 2-(p-vinyl)phenylcyclopropyl cinnamate (PCPC) has been synthesized and its radical polymerization in benzene has been carried out in the presence of AIBN at 333–353K. It has been shown that the polymerization of this monomer proceeds only with opening vinyl double bond. The composition, structure and properties of the prepared polymers and also the kinetic regularities of the polymerization reaction have been investigated. The values of some kinetic indices have been determined and the mechanism, structure and radical polymerization reaction of PCPC have been proposed.
