A depedence has been studied of the extraction değree of iron(II) by a 0.1 M solution in chloroform conteining 0.1 M o-phenantrolin on pH.A maximum extinction is obtained at pH of 6,0-6,6. The composition of the extracted iron(II) compound Fe been found by means of the has equilibrium shift method. The absorption spectra of the choloform extracts of the iron comlex compound have been obtianed. The concentration range within which Beer¢s lawis valid has been establish. The poessibility ofthe extraction-photometric determination of iron in the precense of the large amonts of copper masked by EDTA has been shown. Iron(II) o-phenantroltinat complex with the EDTA excess at pH 6–6.6 passes into the choloroform layer. Copper remains in the solution.
