KINETIC REGULARITIES OF OXIDATION OF OLIGOAMINOPHENOLS BY OXYGEN IN ALKALINE MEDIUM
The kinetic regularities of oxidation of oligo-ortho-, oligo-metha- and oligo-para-aminophenols by oxygen in the presence of alkali in media of ethanol, methanol and water have been investigated. A reaction order by oligomer and alkali, values of rate constants (k) and reaction activation energy (E) have been found. It has been estbalished that an availability of amine groups in phenol links increases a reactivity of oligoaminophenols (OAP) at oxidation. In a series of m-OAP<o-OAP<p-OAP k values are increased but E value is decreased. It is analogously observed at transition from water to methanol and ethanol used as solvent. The probable mechanism of oxidation of OAP by oxygen in alkaline medium has been proposed
