OXIDATIVE CHLORINATION OF ETHLYLENE-PROPYLENE ELASTOMER
The results of chlorination of ethlylene-propylene elastomer (EPE) by means of low-temperature oxidative chlorination of EPE with use of mixture of aqueous solutions of HC1 and H2O2 (or HCl+NaOCl) as a chlorina-ting agent are offered. It has been established that a degree of chlorination of EPE may be regulated within the range of 0.6–27.6 mas. % at the expense of change of quantity of oxidizer. It has been proved by method of PMR spectroscopy that oxychlorination of EPE proceeds at the expense of substitution of hydrogen atom of methine, methylene and methyl groups of macromolecules by chlorine
