SYNTHESIS OF DIESTERS OF METHYLBICYCLOHEPTOIC OXYACIDS
Reaction of monobasic saturated acids C1–C5 by thermal addition to 5-carbalkoxy-5-methylbicyclo[2.2.1]hept-2-ene has been studied, and as a result, new representatives of diesters of methylbithcycloheptoic oxyacids have been synthesized. Physico-chemical properties of diesters are determined, and the structure of theses diesters are proved. It has been established that the synthesized carbetoxymethylbithcycloheptylacetate has a pleasant smell and may be used as component of synthetic aromatic substances
